Single cell secretion-based sorting by droplet microfluidic.
Launched in April 2021, MicroOmix S.A.S. has developed a unique technology enabling to transform microfluidic droplet’s surface into a highly sensitive sensor. This allows for the detection, at the single cell level, of secreted biomarkers entrapped within the droplet. On the basis of the resulting distinctive signal, it becomes possible to sort single cells according to their secretory profile, with a high accuracy and high-throughput. The purified live cell sub-populations can be recovered by triggering droplet coalescence. This technology is currently applied to the screening for antibody secreting hybridomas.
