On December 7th, Jean-Luc Imler received the Lucien Tartois Prize from the French Foundation for Medical Research. This prize is intended to fund research in oncology, immunology or virology. It rewards the work of the “Antiviral signalling and effector mechanisms” team of the Insect Models of Innate Immunity unit (M3i), also associated with the Sino-French Hoffmann Institute for Immunology (SFHI) at the Guangzhou Medical University (GMU) in China, on the function and regulation of the cGAS-STING pathway in insects and its exploitation for the discovery of new antiviral genes.
